We are now looking for one or possibly several preparedness coordinators for our new unit for Sector and Preparedness Responsibility.

About the Position

The role involves building and strengthening Tillväxtverket's organization related to total defense and preparedness, with a particular focus on sector responsibility. You will be part of an operation responsible for developing and implementing the authority's sector responsibility and contributing to developing structures, reporting methods, situational awareness, and capability-building initiatives within the sector and its target groups. Conducting training and exercises internally and externally, as well as the authority's operational function, is part of the operation. Together with other employees in the unit, you will collaborate with other authorities, relevant actors within the sector, parts of the business community, and internal collaboration at both operational and management levels. The unit is also responsible for international issues. The authority's work with security protection is not included in this position.

The work is in a formative phase, which provides significant opportunities for you, together with the unit, to influence the setup and implementation to strengthen the authority's role within the sector, the preparedness system, and ultimately the total defense. The unit is planned to consist of about 10 employees based in Stockholm or Östersund.

Your Place of Work: Stockholm

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university or college degree in social sciences, economics, law, or another degree that the employer deems relevant for the task
• Experience working in the Swedish preparedness system at the national level
• At least three years of experience working in a government authority
• Experience and a good ability to drive and lead projects in the preparedness area
• Good knowledge of public administration and governance of public administration
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish and English

The following are meritorious:

• Education in total defense, crisis management, or similar through the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency or the Swedish Defence University
• Experience working in crisis management organizations
• Experience working with security-protected operations and security protection work
• Experience in issues concerning business, civil defense, and/or military defense related to preparedness
• Experience of public-private collaboration within the framework of preparedness issues
• Experience from working with sector responsibility in a government authority

Employment Form and Application Deadline

The employment is a permanent position. We apply a 6-month probationary period. Travel is included in the position.

The position is classified in a security class and requires Swedish citizenship. A security clearance with a background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
